Art Auction for Morocco: A successful evening full of art & connection
Share
It was a race against time, but together we made the impossible possible. Within just six days, "In de Ruimte" in Utrecht became the scene of an event that will remain etched in our memories: an art auction in support of the victims of the earthquake in Morocco.
The audience that gathered for this noble cause was as diverse as it was inspiring. Young faces full of hope mingled with the wise gazes of older generations, each with a story and a background that reflected the rich tapestry of our community. The merging of different cultures and backgrounds made for a dynamic and empathetic evening, enhanced by the work of the following artists, whose creativity and generosity made the event a success:
- Hassan Hajjaj & Hakim el Amrani
- Khalid Amakran
- Wissal Aziz
- Qasim Arif
- Samira Charroud
- Sarah Amrani
- Amine Habti
- Karima Choukeri
- Samira Serghini
- Ebru Aydin
- Lamiae el Hajjaji
- Bushra Sayed
- Sarah Ben Messaoud
- Marwan Magroun
- Yasmina Ajbilou Sana Mulay
- Mounia Beztati
- Kaoutar Gadir
Every bid placed and every euro raised was a sign of solidarity. The auction raised an impressive €13,545, an amount that will go entirely to organizations active on the ground, including:
- Rizq Foundation
- Tribes Foundation
- Santé Pour Tous Foundation
- Younes Foundation
These organizations are on the front line supporting those affected by the earthquake in Morocco with the necessary aid.
The success of this evening lay not only in the amount raised, but also in the unity and warmth radiated by the audience. It was heartwarming proof of what we can do as a community when we join forces. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed their time, art, or financial resources.
