Funding application as a maker: An inspiring evening by Fonds ZOZ and Atay Atelier

On the evening of Friday, October 27th, Atay Atelier was a vibrant hub of knowledge and inspiration. In close collaboration with Fonds ZOZ, an organization that champions stories that connect our society, an event was organized specifically for artists from various disciplines. The evening focused on the theme of professionalization within the freelance art world and how artists can submit applications.

The highlight of the evening was the lecture by Lamaie el Hajjaji, a 2023 Stimuleringsfonds winner, who outlined her personal journey as a creator. Known for her passion and expertise, El Hajjaji generously shared the lessons she's learned on the path of freelance artistry. Her talk, titled "The Art of Freelancing & Freelancing in Art," was not only a source of inspiration but also a practical guide full of insights for both emerging and established artists.

The practical workshop organized by Fonds ZOZ addressed another important aspect of professional development: the application process for projects and funds. The workshop, titled "How to Apply?", focused on unraveling the often complicated procedures and providing tools for a successful application. Participants were guided step-by-step through the process, significantly lowering the barrier to seeking support for their creative projects.

Another key aspect of the evening was networking. Creators had the opportunity to engage in conversation with the ZOZ team and with each other.
