Amrani is a visual artist whose work explores identity, femininity, and beauty standards through the lens of her bicultural background. She graduated from the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam and holds a master’s degree in Film Studies & Visual Culture. Part of her ongoing series, this photograph shows a young woman dressed in white, a colour symbolising purity. Her averted pose creates distance and anticipation, yet her upright stance conveys quiet strength. Amrani captures the tension between vulnerability and dignity, reflecting on the expectations surrounding femininity and tradition.
